Chino Doctors
There are probably Chino doctors for every kind of sickness known to man. For every age group, there is a special doctor assigned, all to provide optimum care for everyone, from babies to elderly people. It is fascinating to note the different kinds there are:
Family Practice Doctors – also called primary care doctors, these are the doctors who are like an extension of the family. They are available for check-ups and treatment for all the members of the family. If further care or treatment is necessary, they will then refer the patient to specialists. One kind of family doctor is the “country” or “rural doctor” who serves as the primary physician for an entire county.
Emergency Doctors – while most doctors in Chino have regular clinic hours in the daytime, ER doctors are available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. They probably see the most diverse kinds of medical problems from a simple burn to a heart attack. As some hospitals have a special helicopter which is referred to as a flying ER, it is naturally equipped like a regular ER, and also staffed with an ER doctor along with two other medical emergency professionals.
Surgeons – these are the physicians that perform operations. Before, general surgeons performed all the operations. Now there are different kinds of specialized surgeons.
Plastic surgeons – they repair abnormal body parts usually brought about by birth defects, injury or disease. This also covers cosmetic surgery, which enhances people’s physical appearance.
Orthopedic surgeons – operate on bones, muscles, joints, and tendons.
Neurosurgeons – operate on the brain and its surrounding nerves.
Pediatric surgeons – operate on children (newborn to teens). Pediatric heart surgeons operate on children with heart conditions
There are also many different kinds of specialties.
Pediatricians – these doctors examine and treat children.
Internal Medicine Doctors or internists – these focus on adults.
Obstetricians – these focus on women’s health, especially pregnant women.
Dermatologists – these concentrate on diseases of the skin, hair, and nails.
Allergists – these treat allergies and immune system disorders.
Hematologists – these focus on diseases of the blood.
Oncologists – these focus on the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
Anesthesiologists – these are the ones who administer anesthesia before an operation.
Other than direct patient care, there are numerous procedures in a medical facility which in turn are being performed by “behind the scenes” doctors. They provide support to the other physicians. They are the following:
Radiologists – they study, analyze, and interpret x-rays.
Pathologists – these are the doctors in the laboratories. They perform the diagnostic tests that the other physicians request from patients, e.g. blood samples, biopsies. Like the radiologists, they analyze and interpret these tests. One kind of pathologist is the forensic pathologist, who performs autopsies to determine a person’s cause of death.
Epidemiologists – these are the doctors who perform medical research. They study the different kinds of disease to find out what causes them, and they are also the ones who develop vaccines to prevent these diseases.
Be it direct patient care or the medical procedures required for these patients, the hard work and dedication of these doctors in Chino is truly amazing and inspiring. With the continuous advancement of science and technology, hopefully, they will be able to eradicate the most harmful diseases known to man.
